Our story
Welcome to Woodys Barns, Florida’s premier family-owned and operated custom barn builder. Founded in 2008 by Elwood “Woody” Long and his son-in-law Kent Bowers, our roots in the Central Florida area have allowed us to stay connected to our customers, their animals and barns that we have built for them. For nearly two decades, we have proudly extended our family footprint across 47 Florida counties, designing and erecting beautiful, high-quality agricultural structures.
From our office staff to our project managers, we employ family and long-time friends—including Kent Bowers as CEO/Barn Design Specialist, Michelle Bowers handling financials, Zack Bowers managing production, Dave overseeing office and permitting, and Trinidy Bowers heading up marketing. Equally, Kevin Bowers leading the warehouse, Phil and Billy working to ensure we have everything we need to run smoothly. This tight-knit team structure makes our internal communication simple, streamlined, and near flawless.

Every build is engineered to your county's current wind code, 120 to 170+ mph, with a continuous load path to the ground.
Our own crews
Our own crews frame and finish your barn, the same ones on every job. We do not hand your build off to whoever is cheapest that week.
We handle the paperwork
We pull permits and call inspections whenever the property is not AG exempt, and we clean up the site when we are done.
